Accommodation: (First Come – First Allocated)

Travel and hotel costs will be a major part of your expenses to participate at this event. The TOC has worked hard to reserve beds and special ‘group’ rates and packages at a variety of hotels in the Rhein Neckar area. As Heidelberg is one of the top tourist destinations in Europe, beds in this beautiful town will be hard to find in July. To receive ensure the beds TOC is holding for the event, we request team administrators to book with the TOC as soon as possible.

TOC has arranged primary accommodation at the hotels and Hostels listed below and are in most cases a 10 ‐ 45 minute train ride to the venues. A public transportation ticket for the RNV region will be provided for all registered participants. This will allow everyone to get around Heidelberg with ease.

All of the tournament hotels and hostels have given us prices from €50 to €100 per bed per night. Breakfast is included in the hostel locations but will cost extra at most hotels.

ACCOMMODATION BOOKINGS – It is advised by the TOC for you to book your accommodation as early as possible and to pay a deposit of 25%. While we understand these timelines might be tight, the city of Heidelberg has booking deadlines earlier than most cities since they do book out with tourists for the summer season. Each individual hotel has different booking deadlines, so there is some room for those teams who want to book early. Please let the TOC know your preferred options and ask about availability and payment deadlines.

This Youth Hostel was completely modernized and rebuilt in 2014 ‐ top hostel facility. The Youth Hostel is located on the Rhine River in Mannheim near the train station. All of the 73 rooms with 258 beds are equipped with a shower and a toilet. Ideal for groups with their own transportation / Bus, but also good for groups wanting to use the public transportation ticket provided to each registered WU24 participant. Breakfast, Lunch Box and Dinner (till 7 pm only) included. Free Wi-Fi in public rooms.

 

OPTION (B) Hostel > SOLD OUT

The Standard Youth Hostel has 129 beds in 35 three–‐bed and four–‐bed rooms, all rooms with wash basins, each two rooms are directly assigned to a shower/toilet –‐ standard hostel facility. Ideal for groups with their own transportation / Bus, but also ok for groups wanting to use the public transportation ticket provided to each registered WU24 participant. Breakfast, Lunch box and Dinner (till 7 pm only) included. Free Wi‐Fi in public rooms.

 

OPTION (C) Hotel > SOLD OUT

New hotel in excellent location, close to the historical old town and main train station in Heidelberg – by foot: 40 min. to North Sport Center and 20 min. to South Sport Center – By public bus: 28 min. to North Sport Center and 14 min. to South Sport Center. Perfect for groups wanting to use the public transportation ticket provided to each registered WU24 participant. 130 beds available ‐ spacious Superior Rooms are between 18 to 25 sqm with large double beds or superior twin rooms with separate beds and free Wi-Fi. Breakfast Buffet add €16.

This hotel in the wine – growing district of Leimen offers a great deal of Tuscan flair and a Mediterranean ambience, free Wi ‐Fi on the outskirts of Heidelberg. Come and let yourself be pampered in the spacious spa facilities and dine in either the buffet restaurant or in the a‐la‐carte Medici restaurant. The hotel offers excellent road access, a short drive from the motorway, as well as an excellent public transport connections, just 300 m from the local S-Bahn (city train) stop. This hotel has a beautiful location on the outskirts of Heidelberg –‐ Ideal for groups with their own transportation / Bus, but also good for groups wanting to use the public transportation ticket provided to each registered WU24 participant. Rooms have desk areas and free Wi–‐Fi. 10 Queen size beds (less 5€ per night) and 5 King size beds available.

 

OPTION (H) – Camping North site (see venue on this site) > 300 spots still available

Located in the middle of the Main Tournament North Site near the location where food will be served and the showers will be located. It is in a fenced in part of the public swimming pool –‐ bring your own tent and sleeping bag! The area will be well staffed to secure the area with entry control – bathrooms on site. Perfect for groups with a limited budget and wanting to use the public transportation ticket provided to each registered WU24 participant.

Camping will be available a few days before and a few days after the event dates depending on the requirement – please reserve your spot and tell us your exact arrival and departure plans! 

We have identified low cost water proof tents and sleeping bags that can be made available if you are traveling by air or have limited space to make this option possible for everyone.
